Front oil seal
That is good news! It is only a temp fix, the plan in the near future is to have it rebuilt. I don’t have a service manual yet but before I start this project I will go online, download and print one out.
Growing up all my neighbors had Cub Cadets and I decided that one day I would pick one up and restore it! Well at 53, now is the time! I got a 1450 that was in pretty good shape but needed some TLC. Discovered it wasn’t the correct motor but aside from that it was a complete unit. As of now it’s in pieces, stripping most of the parts in preparation for epoxy primer and some fresh paint, and lots of new parts. It’s not going to be museum quality but it’s going to be nice, fingers crossed! I love the old stuff, it’s heavy duty and you can’t kill it unlike the junk that’s out there today.
