Last year, after changing out the hydraulic fluid in my 1772, I had oil coming out the dipstick fill. I did some digging as found a service bulletin where some tractors were shipped with incorrect dipsticks. The bulletin gave the proper length the dipstick should for a cub cadet part number and some tractor models. I had look up the proper dipstick part number for my 1772 tractor since it wasn't on the bulletin. I've had my 1772 for years and I just found out I had the wrong dipstick, now, no more problems with this.
