Even with your injuries, you still lucked out. Hopefully you heal quickly and well.
I've had shoulder surgeries so when you get closer, I can let you in on all the "fun" you'll have going thru the rehab after having a tendon reattached. You'll be sleeping in a recliner for about 6 weeks ( not supposed to move when sleeping / recovering ). We have a Berkliner brand sofa that reclines with extending footrest. That worked well for me.
