As I grow closer to completing my rebuild I continue to run into small annoyances that demand attention. There were door hinges holding the hood on, I bought a piano hinge to replace it but none of that worked - so I have an appropriate hinge on order. The cheap carb I bought wouldn't work because the choke was upside down - even though the tractor runs great with it. Anyway, after much effort I determined I could could take the choke arm out of the old carb and stick in the new one. Of course the screws broke off and one had to be drilled out and the other one put up quite a challenge too. But now the choke works. Applying the brake put the tractor in reverse and I couldn't get it adjusted right .... found the rod was worn quite bad so I have another one on order - hopefully I will get the adjustments right after it arrives. Meanwhile ..... it continues to sit and rest.
