Default Saved another one…..

Where to start. Bought this ’78 1250 for my son’s first home purchase to take care of 2 acres. Three years of work he got out of it, two years of shed storage because lack of power. Hauled it home and let it sit under a tarp for a year. Last fall I decided to tear into it and fix it. You can see from the pictures the end results, it’s a keeper. I'm in the process of selling my other two Massey’s. Some of the things I did to bring it back to life:

- Motor rebuild. Rings, piston, connecting rod, valves (burnt exhaust valve lack of power culprit), stator, points, condenser, coil, coil wire, plug and gasket set.
- Fixed the leaking cork gasket at hydro pump, new filter and fluid
- New front tires
- Adjusted and greased all fittings and linkages.
- Rebuilt mower deck added rear roller and anti scalp rolls
- Painted
- If I missed anything, the pictures tell the story.
All the above work done by yours truly, it was a fun journey now its time to get some work out of it. Great web site for info. Comments or questions are welcome.
