The spindles in my 50C and 44C mower decks that I have on my 1811 and 1812 have replacement bearings and cones that I have replaced on both decks. New complete spindles are pricey but I was able to rebuild each spindle for less than $30 per spindle. I used A2 bearing set from Oreilly's auto parts $5 per set. My spindles used 2 bearing sets per spindle. I used National seal 471737, also from Oreilly's, $8. I needed 2 seals for each spindle. It is a pretty simple and straightforward rebuild just remember to put the bearing spacer in before installing the last cone. Also put one of the seals in upside down to allow grease to expel when filling.
