Well I started taking a part the 149 it’s in bad shape definitely parts only. I took the 14hp engine apart the connecting rod was grenaded and it snapped the camshaft. The block is good and cylinder walls look really good. I took the 10HP apart as well. It’s in very good shape besides the cylinder looks egged out and it has a lot of play. I wish I could use the 10hps crankshaft but it’s stroke is 3/8” shorter. So not sure I could use it in the 14hp. I know the camshaft will work on the 14 but now I have to decide what direction to take either way I have to go to a machine shop either for crankshaft on one or cylinder on other. The cam looks amazing in the 10. I really want the 14hp I just hope the crankshaft isnt bent or damaged other than needing reground. I plan on swapping the bearing plate from 10 to the 14 and the flywheel and the 10s housing. I have 2 different style heads with the spark plug in different spots over the valves. I plan on using the thicker one. I am going to get a full on over haul kit for it. I have to get some tools I don’t have such as a valve spring tool and I need a 3 jaw puller to remove the PTO pulleys. I will probably sell what I can’t use or trade it. I’ll get pics up ASAP.
