Pro tip - the wire that probably started the fire can be eliminated by replacing the solenoid in the carburetor with a float bowl screw from a Briggs and Stratton push mower, it seems to run plenty cool enough without some the plastic on the engine for pulling a wagon around the garden, and it's a heck of a lot of fun if you can find some free ATV tires for it.

Actually the cause of the fire on my 2166 is a condition I like to call "felony stupidity". Guy who had it ran it out of gas then used a disposable lighter in place of a flashlight. He escaped with minor burns. The fire melted the filler opening on the tank and he must have got some water in it while trying to put it out. It runs but not right.
