Worked on the 782D yesterday. The PTO solenoid gets hot (as does everything under the hood) and the housing of the fast-on connector that mates to the solenoid seems to relax when warm. That coupled with the lack of spring tension in the connector blades allows the solenoid to drop out after everything heat soaks.
I reseated the conductors inside the connector housing (harness end) and cleaned everything so Mister Ohm doesn't contribute to the heat and we're back to normal operation now .
Anyone know what the current draw is for the mower PTO when it's in the "hold" state? Must be a fair amount.
