"Bidders" is plural; more than one. This line tells me that it's a normal auction, just starting at 4PM because there's not that much to sell. Also says it's a "Flash Auction" which means the auctioneer had short notice and had to squeeze it in his schedule, so he and the seller picked a Wednesday evening.

Rest assured, the seller and the auctioneer wouldn't sell all this stuff for one money. Too much profit to be made by selling it individually.
