If I am not mistaken and I will check my manual later to double check, but the coultier only needs to make a 2 to 3 inch cut. What you will probably need to do is make a pull with the plow with the tractor tires down in a previous furrow to be at the correct angle. Stop your tractor, leaving the plow down and visually see and measure how deep the coultier is cutting. If it is too much raise it, if not enough lower it. That will also be a good time to make sure the plow is pulling straight and cutting straight. If not you can make adjustments.
