It is a woodruff key not a regular square key.
Most bigger hwd stores carry them as well as auto parts,
If you don't have the old one to take it with you, take the S/Gen and find the correct one for a dollar.
Also it takes the same key that all billion delco generators took starting in the 1930's to about 1962-63 in vehicles so a starter gen shop would have the key also.
And many earlier alternators used it also.

And FWIW,
Delco found out they could eliminate it by tightening the nut tighter.
