Use of some heat would certainly help, too! Make sure the old pin is completely out and not just sheared off in the old hole. More than likely, it is sheared off. If you don't want to put heat to it, then you can use PB Blaster on it. Soak it in PB Blaster for a day or so before doing work on it. Do NOT use PB Blaster AND heat, as it is flammable! Wear protective eyewear or a face shield.
