Default 124 Hard Steering

My new to me 124 has gotten progressively worse steering since I purchased it a month ago. When I bought it, it didn’t have the easiest steering but was ok. It did have an issue where it does not want to turn to the right very far, that still exists.

I’ve used it a few times around the house and the steering is hard enough where I have to use two hands most of the time. Also it is on the sloppy side with a good bit of free play in the wheel.

I’ve seen the tips and tricks of greasing the box (which took allot of grease), and checking the steering components. Tie rod ends look new but there is certainly play in the system.

Any suggestions of where to start?
