made a road trip
Feeling a 'lil better so it was road trip time . Found a 108 motor was rebuilt by the owner, .010" over but he did something to the rod. When he put it back together. now the rod is knockin'. So a $ hundred bucks later its mine .
So went to Craigslist , found a 10 hp kind of close to home and another hundred bucks later its mine. My youngest son helped tonight and we put the other motor in the 108... runs great. Saturdays job will be tearing the rod knocker a part
