My starter does not have the marks like the one in the link you posted. The parts can only fit one way, there are tabs that have to line up. I took the case off, that only fits one way too. I knocked one of the wires off the brush, I’ll have to get it soldered before I can do anymore testing. I’ll play with it again tomorrow.
