Well the sound came back when the PTO was disengaged after mowing seems to go away when PTO is engaged. To be honest, this day has got the best of me and I'm frustrated with this tractor. I now have small amount of smoke on start up(i'm use to that) but when you throttle up it seems to bog down for a second then throttle and blows more smoke. Going to check the plug tomorrow as I did not change it after the blown gasket but other than that i'm not sure where to look aside from just completely rebuilding the motor which I really don't have the time for right now. What you are describing does not sound like a catastrophic engine rebuild situation. Sounds more like fuel and carburetor situation.
