Cub Cadet 1000 Transmission Input Shaft Yoke
On my 1000, it appears that the transmission input shaft yoke is worn out. It can wobble back and forth on the shaft. I removed the driveshaft and this yoke, and the bushing in the center seems to swivel freely. The ball bearing was present in the yoke.
I have a model 1200 parts tractor. I removed the yoke from it. The bushing in the center seems to be rusted in place, and does not swivel at all. Otherwise, it fits the transmission shaft tightly, and other than the bushing seems to be reusable.
Is it possible to replace this bushing, and what would the P/N be? Is this bushing supposed to swivel? What is it's purpose? Is it supposed to help compensate for any angular misalignment of the drive shat where it inserts into this bushing?
Should I just replace this whole assembly with a new one?
