Jeff, That's exactly what I did. Sprayed it with PB Blaster, clamped it in a vise, stuck the end of the drive shaft in and worked it around, and it freed right up.
This bushing fits on the end of the transmission input shaft with no play, but the spirol pin hole in the shaft is kind of wallowed out. The shaft on my 1200 parts tractor looks OK, so I may try re-using it.
I got tired of the iso mounts on this tractor, so several years ago I bought a set of your solid mounts to mount the engine (which is the 12hp unit, recently rebuilt at the time, from the parts tractor). I also installed one of those "heavy duty" clutch driver assemblies which replaced that flexible clutch driver that was stock on the Quiet Line tractors. I wonder if that solid clutch driver might be the source of my problems. The transmission end of the driveshaft developed a severe wobble.
