Default 1782 transmission case mount cracked

I’ve had my 1782 for about three years and have gone through two power steering hydraulic lines that cracked due to the rocking of the transmission. I didn’t realize where the problematic cracks were until I was doing some maintenance and I noticed that both sides are cracked considerably. The front part of the case is seemingly unavailable as new old stock. I would like to move forward with a reasonable cost fix and wondering if the alloy that the case is constructed is something you could braise or otherwise weld. Serial number is newer, 875*** for reference.
Anybody who has had the experience of repairing this crucial aspect of the strength of the Super would be appreciated. I’ve heard some on the fragile nature of this design area and wonder if MTD has a bulletin and support. I was happy initially as it was a not new purchase but I now understand why the price was in my price range. Buyer be aware. Now I’m trying to make it right for the long term. Help. Thanks to all in advance. BD
