Cub Cadet Tank SZ60 drive adjustment
My brother has a Cub Cadet Tank SZ60 that needs a drive adjustment? I'm trying to help him, but having no luck finding any information about this.
Pushing the forward petal going up a steep hill, then let off the forward petal and it continues to move forward. I have to press the reverse foot petal to get it to stop. It only behaves like this going up a steep hill. On the level, like the garage floor, when I release the forward petal it immediately stops. Seems like if the hydraulic drive has pressure against it, then it won't stop automatically as it should? I've studied the linkages for hours, there is simply not any obvious adjustments. I sat for a couple hours on the Cub Cadet support line the other day. they said they didn't have a manual for it, only for an older model tank. I received that PDF but it wasn't helpful as the drive layout was completely different. Anyone have suggestions on how to fix this, or have a professional shop manual or any other literature to help me figure this out? Purchased in 2016 which is the last year these were made I was told. I did some searching of the forum but didn't find anything to help yet. I'm new to this forum, so please be gentle with me.
