Our 1863 likes to do the same "click click", sometimes it won't start right away. It's kinda strange, but once you get it started its fine. Should also mention that they seem to have a safety switch that prevents the tractor from starting if the hydro is in the free rolling position. I tried starting it, forgot I had the release on, and it refused to do anything. Didn't even "click". Once I realized it was released, I put it back to drive mode and it started right up. I recommend checking that, maybe its contributing to the issue.
