Forum lurker here I am the second owner of this 1641 and I have had it 20+ years. It is an awesome GT, just awesome. The OP bought it at David A Banks in Georgetown DE and it came with all of the original manuals with their stickers on them. They have been great to deal with. My local AD has zero interest in even trying to order parts.
I use the tractor at two properties about 20 miles apart, one is 1/2 acre and after mowing it I loaded the tractor onto the flatbed and drove it home. When I arrived home it would not start or even crank, nothing at all and I had just finished mowing 30 mins prior, during which the PTO switch was acting funny a couple of times. But now no power to anything at all, but the solenoid would jump. The main fuse was fine.
After reading around on this forum I decided to just replace the brake safety lockout switch, the PTO switch and also the ignition switch. I called David A Banks and everything was in stock! For a 1994 cyclops! It turned out to be the ignition switch and my old CC key fits the new switch as well as the 2 plain keys that came with it. I replaced all three and saved the old ones.
They are very easy to deal with on the phone, reasonable shipping charge of $15 and I had everything 2 days later, genuine oem parts:-) They have always been so easy to deal with and I just wanted to give them a shout out. If anyone else has a local AD like mine try calling them instead.
