Thats a great idea George, I will certainly give that a try before inserting screws. Im glad I didnt start taking it apart yet because after pushing it back up into the steering wheel, its now holding firm. Hopefully it continues to hold, thanks Finsruskw for mentioning it.
I didnt see that bushing (#2 in the parts list). Is that inside the steering wheel?
