That's pretty cool!
It actually reminds me of not one but two similar but different things. First is the "Hiller Yard Hand" tractor. It has a 2 stroke 1.7hp engine and 2 speed belt drive transmission. Really not much to them.
The other thing it reminds me of is something I've seen in an issue of "Toy Farmer" magazine. Unfortunately I cannot seem to locate the magazine at this time but when I do I can come back with all the specifics, but it was about the production of these little pedal-tractor-like machines. They were built in 3 sizes, small, medium, and large. The small and large had narrow front ends, the medium had a wide front. But the real kicker was that they could be ordered with pedals, provisions to fit an engine, or ordered with an engine. Unfortunately the article only had the original advertisements so I am unsure if any examples actually exist today.
