I did repower it with Harbor Freight. Then I repowered again with electric.

I went with the 6hp as it was cheaper than the 3hp. Also the 3hp had a different bolt pattern on the bottom. I would have had to drill new holes. As it was I lifted it with spacers anyway. The new motor had interference on the back side. I even placed the free light on the gas tank for an impromptu headlight. Just barely enough steel in the gas tank to keep the magnet sticking. I have small kids, with electric the motor stops as opposed to loosing a belt that could catch and walk away on you.

Both wheels have a ratchet mechanism inside the hub. When they both lock up it will pull you away.
