First, welcome to OCC............. 
At that time, Kohler used two different brand of Carburetors. The traditional Kohler/Carter type and the Walbro type. The Kohler Carb was adjustable while the Walbro could have been a "fixed jet". Some Walbro carbs were adjustable also.
You want to stay away from the fixed jet carbs.
