2185 runs on one cylinder
Hi all, recently my mower has dropped a cylinder (Kohler ch18), I took it apart and tested the coil on the bad cylinder (as well as the running cylinder) and they both tested the same, but I had weak spark in the non running cylinder. I've done a compression check, and have 150 psi on both cylinders. I've cleaned the carb, made sure the airways around the engine are clean, replaced the fuel pump(because I thought the old one looked a little weak while running it into a bottle).
So I ordered and replaced the "bad" Ignition coil with a Kohler genuine replacement. Put it on today, gapped it at .30mm (.012 inches), and it still runs on one cylinder. If I pull the plug wire on the bad cylinder while running, nothing happens. If I pull the good plug wire the mower dies. Just for shits and giggles I replaced the plugs and gapped them to. 30 as per the manual. I've also pulled the valve covers and checked the rocker arms and nothing seems to be loose, and they move as they should. I'm out of ideas at this point. I just want the damn thing to run right again so I can mow my lawn lol. Any help would be much appreciated.
