The spindle shaft is threaded into the blade block and a key is place in from the bearing side before the spindle is put in the housing. I’ve never had one apart, so I don’t know a lot about them. You MIGHT be able to just replace the key and reassembled it, but the only way to know is to take it apart and assess how much damage is done. The hole in the bottom of the shaft leads me to believe the shaft is installed upside down, does it have a grease fitting on top?
