Tractordata says the 3165 came with a 2 cylinder Briggs and Stratton engine. Looking at the 3165 wiring diagram I do not see any diodes like are on the fuel solenoid of the 2 cylinder Kohler Commands. Diodes in the circuit are steering diodes that do not allow the 12 volts from the system to feed the wrong way when you have two control lines tied together on one circuit function as in energizing a fuel solenoid.
