Have not been able to do too much last few weeks. It has been cold here and I don't have much heat in the shop. I was able to use my new micrometer to check the crankpin on the 128 crank. It will need to be cut .010. It had the flat spot at the top of the crank where it is at top of stroke. Otherwise it measured out within max spec. Still waiting on a bigger micrometer so I can check the cylinder bore, altho I know with the amount of ridge built up at the top I am looking at least a .010 over bore if not .020.
On the plus side, I pulled the top plate off of the tranny of the 128 and topped it off with fresh fluid. Made a new gasket and buttoned it back up. I have the new valve guides on my desk, waiting to be installed soon into the 128 engine. I did check out the shifter while it was out and did not see any cracks or needed repairs. It looked great.
