The problem ended up being burnt points. We got a new set and put them on, and for the first time in almost 30 years, it started! I rode it around for about a half hour yesterday. It runs good and drives good in all gears. It’s a nice tractor, just a little small. Almost feels like a toy compared to a Cub Cadet.
