Not been inside a 1450 but imagine some general things apply.
First thing I do is make sure you have a camera and take all kinds
of pictures from all kinds of angles. I find that even simple pictures
come in handy. Take special note of everything you unhook, especially
linkages and such. No one here knows what your skill level is so feel free
to ask away and don't worry about it when someone states what is obvious to
you.
Is the only thing you are going to do is the the cork gasket?
Do you have other leaks and issues in the back end you are planning
on working on while things are apart? Let us know.
