Default Typical ground clearance on a hydraulic lift?

Just finished my restoration and retro fitting of a hydraulic lift on my 1250.

I’m currently hooked up to my QA42A and have a new 28” lift rod.

Fired up today but I have a lot of extra travel out (lifting) in the ram and the snow thrower is off the ground maybe 2”

Being I’ve always manually lifted the blower with a chain which I felt lifted it higher. ( it’s been 10 years since I last touched this so that’s foggy)

My chain might have been shorter but I don’t know that to expect from the hydraulic lift.

Anyone tell me the average clearance they typically have?

I know there is extenders for lift just trying to gauge what I have
