Good group of enthusiasts here. I went from no charging to 13.8 volts on my 125 thanks to just posts of others here. I bench tested the starter/gen, polarized it, then checked all wiring with a Fluke meter using continuity test. Turns out I had a broken wire and I repaired going by what’s stamped on the regulator terminals. I happen to have a two coil, non-adjustable regulator that was clean and dry on the inside. I’m not sure what an original Cub 125 voltage regulator looks like on the inside. But again, this site is a great resource for people like me who have never owned a real garden tractor, let alone a June of ‘68 Cub 125.
