There are 3 generations of the 44 inch mower deck. There was models: 44, 44A, and 44C.
44 was designed for the 1x8/9 Series tractors
44A was designed for the Quietline Series tractors
44C was designed for the 82 Series tractors.
To make a 44C work correctly on a 149, the center deck pulley needs to be changed to a IH-59703-C2 Pulley.
The correct belt would be: IH-59971-C1 Belt.
