My bet is that the magnets were already undone before any hammering took place because I have removed loose flywheels where the magnets had already moved out of place.

If you have been lucky, none of the magnets have been destroyed or cracked.

I have always had success, regluing them with no problems, using JB Weld and it is not hard to figure out where they go because of markings or rust spots on the inside of the flywheel.

But the tricky and most important part is that going around the circle,
the magnets must align, end to end, north to south, all the way around.

In other words, if you rotate one of the magnets and glue two in with a south pole facing a south pole, and/or a north to north, it may give a charge but not a full charge.

Somewhere on the net, there is a diagram or a video explaining this but I don't have it right now. I'll repost if I find it.
