K301 Valves Adjustment & ACR
I rebuilt my K301a and when I adjust the valves at the appropriate gaps at TDC, the exhaust gap is too great for the ACR to move the lifter to engage the valve. If I adjust the exhaust valve at the peak of the ACR, so the lifter engages the valve, then at TDC both valves are just slightly out of sync.
This is on a 129. Replaced points with electronic ignition (Brian Miller), and have good spark. Starter Generator good and new battery.
Any thoughts?
