The muffler box tends to vibrate itself to pieces. The muffler itself lacks a lot of support. Kirk Engines has a fix for that. Bad mounts could lead to other problems such as worn oil pans or stripped oil pan threads. That being said I have 2. The 1200 is a little different animal being a gear drive. The clutch disc has a flexible center that takes a beating. Some have gone to solid motor mounts and a clutch setup from a 128. Eliminates 2 problems. No more wearing mounts and no more cracking flexible clutch discs.
