Tank cleaning round #1 did not go as well as I expected. It did however remove some of the varnish and cleaned the area above the old fuel level. There is still a fair amount of rust and other "stuff" covering the bottom inch or so of the tank. I poured in about 1/2 gallon of 32% Muriatic acid. I sloshed it around and will let it sit over night. The fuel shutoff and knock-off carb are scheduled for delivery today (Wednesday).
Does anyone know if 32% MA is the norm? Is there stronger available?
