Default Kohler k321 propane fuel

I have been looking to how feasible it would be to convert my 1450 to propane since i discovered that at one point you could get K series engines with dedicated propane fuel regulators (not duel fuel or trifuel carburetor adapters that bolt in between the engine or air cleaner). The K series service manual you can still find on kohlers website has a small section on the regulators, one manufacturer was Garretson?
I even saw a 107 cub that came up for sale in the area that has the propane inlet adapter style that goes between the air cleaner and carb- i attached pictures I saved)
Has anyone seen the style of adapters available anywhere where you remove the carb bowl and other hardware an make it a dedicated propane regulator? Anyone ever use a propane powered kohler mower and how it handled? from my knowledge of forklifts and other machines propane powered engines have really reduced maininence schedules and great longevity.
