Thanks, that seemed promising but it looks like they are only meant to run at high throttle, looks like they are aimed at generators since you always run them at high speed.
it looks like no one is making conversion kits that are appropriate for a throttled engine anymore, at least for higher hp like 14 or 16 hp kohler's.
I don't think I want to do the duel fuel or trifuel conversions because it necessitates adding an adapter that would stick out the air cleaner to far for the side panels to stick on, might be fine for the 100 series but not a 1400 if I want to keep it looking original, also they all say it reduces the hp of the engine since the gas isn't mixed at the right point anymore.
In order to maintain speed control it needs a type of propane regulator that the fuel goes in a hose that sticks up through where the needle assembly went to mix the gas and a 2nd vacuum hose connects to a drilled out port from the old idle fuel port that carries vacuum back to the regulator to adjust the propane outlet pressure from increased suction at higher speed.
Doesn't look like its worth the trouble
