Default Cub 2185 new owner

Hi all,
I am a new owner of a cub 2185. I have had it for a couple of years, and I've always had questions about the deck belt arrangement, and now I have a new concern.

Glad to have found this forum, I have been doing some reading, and would like some input on if I am going in the right direction for troubleshooting my current problem.

I was out mowing some tall grass, and when I pulled in to the barn, I had oil dripping all the way. I had changed the oil about 2 weeks ago so I checked to make sure the filter was still on tight and it was. No leaks there or at the drain. When I open the hood, and then got underneath to look. It looks like the oil was dripping down the front of the motor below the PTO. Oil level has dropped significantly. This has a front mount PTO. Would the correct diagnosis be to suspect the seal around the PTO is shot?

The next day, after adding some oil, I started the mower back up(all belts and deck removed) and it runs fine. Is there something else I should check, and how difficult is it to replace the PTO seal if that is the culprit?

Any advice is appreciated.
