You guys have inspired me, I need to clean the carb on my 1862 so that I can blow snow with it this winter. Never going back to a manual steer tractor with a snow blower 
I just skipped it all together last year! Ran great in the spring, floods in the fall. Will fun for a min or so with the fuel pump unhooked, so I think the float is probably stuck.
