Sorner,
If it doesn't lower to the ground, take the lifting/lowering rod off and if then it goes to the ground, your problem is the lift rod is too short.
AND wet snow needs more forward speed to keep the throat clear.
Keep it stuffed full or it will clog as you experienced.
Also it needs full RPMS to keep it coming out of the chute.
Don't give up to easily, you will get it right.
