Remove rear axle carrier 1641?
Hello all-
I tried to search the forum before asking a redundant question... but is there a trick to removing the rear axle carrier on a 1641?
The top two bolts on each side snapped off (as I have seen is a common issue with these). So I have removed the remaining bolts that attach it to the differential. I also removed the c clip and slid the axle out. I just can't seem to free the axle carrier off the differential housing.
Is it the seal between the parts that has glued it shut? Or is it the "stud" of the broken bolts that is keeping the pieces together? I am trying not to break anything further then it is broken...
