Don't build like they use to!! That's what I love about these old cubs Matt, they're totally rebuildable.
I finally got the steering wheel off of the 124 tonight

. After 2 weeks of soaking it in PB and I made 2 different wood blocks like Matt G.'s, but the woods I used just weren't hard enough and I snapped them. Don't think any wood would have worked on this one, in the pic you'll see a split bearing tool I picked up at Napa for $40. Kinda pricey but it worked great, only thing I don't like about it is only 2 threaded holes for bolts, be nice to have 3 pressure points. But man did it go "bang" when it let loose tonight, scared the crap out of me:biggrin2.gif:. Also worked on the new 147, took off tank and rinsed it out, changed out sediment bowl and will rebuild carb later tonight. Hope to get it running in the next couple days.
