I would take a good look at the inside of the coupler with the
bolt in it. As strange as the tranny output looks I would think
that coupler is toast. You can click on the cub parts lookup at the
top of the home page here and get a part #for the coupler and then
go elsewhere to buy the part if it is bad.
I have a 124 sitting on the bench and output shaft of the tranny
measures around .83 from the seal. From the outer edge of the
shaft to center of pin hole is about .25 if that helps.
As far as sanding the pressure plates. I have done that just to clean
them up but as said it would take forever to true them up that way.
Unless they are warped you are probably ok on that.
