Does your carburetor have an anti-backfire solenoid on it? If it is failing after 2 minutes that could cause your problem.
Turn your key on (but not start) when it is cold. Listen for a click down by the carb. When it fails, do the same and confirm the click is still there. If not, that is likely your problem. Also check to make sure you don't have something floating at the bottom of the gas tank that is plugging it up.
