It depends on your budget. An entry level Scag new will cost around $6k and I'm sure all the other brands listed will be about the same too. There are also some good used of the same brands out there at reasonable prices too. 1 acre isn't that large that a good garden tractor would work too. The 82 series, cyclops & 3000 series Cub Cadets would also be a good choice. The 3000 series with a good 48" or 54" deck will give a great looking cut. It all comes down to how much cash you want to throw at it.
